It’s FREE PRINTABLES TIME…yey….

Daily work plan free printable

Having your own business is fun and exciting. You don’t need to worry about wearing suitable attire all the time, when you have your lunch break and not being yelled at by the boss. You can work flexible hours and take days off as you see fit. This all seems wonderful but being your own boss means you still need to be organised and motivated to succeed. That’s why have have created these great free printables.

I work my business from home, so I’m lucky enough to fit my work around my family. I generally work from 5.30am until 7 am then again from 9.30am after I have taken my daughter to school and finish at 3 pm ready for school pickups.

Following a routine is what keeps me motivated when working at home.

As I have been working at home for 10 years now I have disciplined myself and follow a strict routine so I don’t lose motivation. Following my routine allows me to focus on what I need to do each day and what I need to complete by a certain day or by the end of the week.

I normally work Monday to Friday weekdays only as I prefer to keep my weekends free for family time and relaxation. The only time I will work on a weekend is if I need to catch up on work and when my husband and daughter are not at home.

Each day I start with replying to important emails from clients (As I have joined a few websites mailing lists to keep up to date with information I normally get 20+ emails per day) so I browse through and only, action and reply to important ones. I then check and action anything from my diary. This could be following up with clients, website design/ edits/ sending invoices out etc.

Each year I buy a $5 diary from Kmart, so nothing special. I like the diaries that have one page per day to keep track of appointments and things to do. Some people prefer electronic calendars, others print weekly calendars etc. You can find FREE calendar printouts all over the internet so just pick something you like and will always check and follow.

Setting a phone alarm is a great reminder to do certain things you may otherwise forget about.

Once it hits 12.30pm I stop for a half hour lunch break. I actually set up alarms on my phone to go off so I don’t just sit at my computer all day. My alarm goes off constantly to remind me to drink water, to have a bit of fruit, for my lunch break etc. I find having an alarm makes me stop and gives me more energy to keep working.

After lunch I work on tasks that include scheduling social media posts, writing blog posts. Other things also includ free information to give to my clients and newsletters. Plus I also do a heap of promoting and advertising on social media, groups and other advertising places or anything that needs to be done.

I actually have a daily work plan I follow each day and as well as all the above it also includes general things. Like closing extra tabs on my computer, reviewing and clearing things I have added to my favourites/ bookmarks, clearing screen shots, downloads, documents, unimportant emails etc. I like to go through and review, action, delete or save in a particular folder if required. I may only do one or two per week but at least I get through them, and if I don’t remember to read them later then my daily work plan tells me action these as well.

I use a diary, a daily to do list planner and a goal sheet.

On a Friday and I like to make sure I have cleared all my emails so I can start fresh on a Monday. If reading and replying to a particular email that is ongoing then I will break it down, then write the things to do in my diary and save that email in a personal folder to refer back to as per the dates in my diary.

I also have myself a monthly goal sheet for my business, self-development, health/ fitness and fun that I review weekly and redo monthly. This helps me achieve what I want and have balance in my life. I actually change the words Business/ Blogging to School or Work for my daughter and husband, so we all do this- it’s a great family exercise and great to review our goals each month

No doubt you will end up creating your own daily to do list and goals sheets, but feel free to download these two great FREE PRINTABLES below.
