Hi there, I’m Jacinta, and I’m very excited that you found my website and blog. For the last 10 years, I have been self-employed and working from home, owning and managing several businesses. I seem to get multiple business ideas in my head so I just set them up, from an advertising website, job advertising, recruitment, selling retail products, web designs, and hosting. Some of them are successful and some are not but these businesses make me happy and help support my family.
So I want to tell you about my journey so far. I grew up as the youngest of a family of six, one brother and two sisters. My mum was a housewife caring for us kids and being a loving and supportive wife to our father. Dad was a successful businessman working as an architect, so my life was pretty blessed. I was lucky enough to go to a top private school and then follow my dreams and study at the university where I studied the “Advanced Diploma of Business”.
After university, I found a job I loved at an Employment Agency as an Employment Consultant (EC). During my time working as an EC I meet my now husband Sean and fell pregnant to our beautiful daughter Jaynie.
In the last 6 months whilst working as an EC I went from full to part time as I wasn’t coping so well with the pregnancy. I went from being an EC to a Job search Trainer (JST) and working with mothers that wanted to get back into the workforce. I found this very challenging and during my 6 months parental leave I created my first online business ‘Equine Staff”. Thus allowing me to start working from home. As I had ridden horses all through my childhood I had a passion for horses
As I didn’t have allot of money I created Equine Staff’s website myself with the help of some other professionals in the horse industry I met along the way. I researched and self-taught myself everything, with each year my website getting better and better. I then started helping friends with their websites and businesses. This is how I became a web designer which I have been doing since 2010.
I have always had such a huge passion for helping people, I decided to start utilising my knowledge for business and websites so this is how “Jump start your biz” come to light. Which is a business blog.
My plan is to now help you with your journey in business or blogging, so check out our free resources on our Blog from the menu above.
